Victoria Block
Victoria Block, a long-time member of the 7NEWS, is an Emmy Award-winning general assignment reporter who has covered a variety of subjects from breaking news to investigative features, from education to politics, and from neighborhood crime to global warming.
Block's reporting has taken her around the world, including live coverage from Vatican City to cover of the sex abuse "Crisis in the Church," Israel of the late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin's assassination as well as the bombing of Dizengoff Center in Tel Aviv, and even Germany where she covered the Iranian hostage crisis. She was at Ground Zero in Manhattan just hours after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, and she went to Long Island to cover the crash of TWA Flight 800, Los Angeles for the O.J. Simpson arrest and trials, and Detroit to cover the Nancy Kerrigan vs. Tonya Harding assault.
Before launching a television career, she worked in radio for eight years. Victoria was a general assignment reporter and anchor at WHDH-RADIO where she covered breaking news stories. Before that, she worked as a reporter and anchor at WJAR-RADIO and WEAN-RADIO, in Providence, R.I.
An accomplished artist, Victoria studied art at the school for the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and also in Zurich, Switzerland. She is a graduate of the High School of Art and Design in New York City.
